WCW held a press conference today with several big announcements. We'll give you the full details in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but for now here is a quick rundown:
- Lenny Leonard introduced all of the WCW Owners: Scott Coker, Jim Ross, and Brock Lesnar.
- Scott Coker announced that beginning this week, Underground will now be airing on Fridays
- Jim Ross announced that beginning with the next iPPV, The Great American Bash, all WCW iPPVs are being brought in-house and will be produced by WCW alone
- Brock Lesnar announced that from here on out, the final Underground of each month will be live
- There was a Q&A session with Ross answering all the questions
- Ross said a lot of money was being put into the production of the Internet shows
- Ross announced that there would be likely be two on-the-road events before the end of the year
- Ross announced that there have been tentative talks about a permanent television slot on FOX or a FOX-family statoin
- Ross announced that there would be another FOX special towards the end of the year
- Scott Coker finished up and made a huge announcement: WCW will have an X-Box 360 app that will go debut in June
