WCW Underground 1.15

- Previously on Underground: Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team defeated Fastball Special and the Briscoes to earn a spot in the match against Takeshi Morishima and newcomer Keith Walker at Starrcade for the vacant WCW Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, Eddie Edwards bested Chris Hero to face Brent Albright at Starrcade to become the first WCW United States Champion of the new era.

- Lenny Leonard and JML are at ringside. JML talks up the huge press conference from earlier this week, which then airs in full.

- I'm not really going to bother with a recap and instead recommend you check out one of a billion web sites which have posted full reviews.

- Leonard and JML talk about tonight being a special episode: Three Kings will team with the Cross to take on Fastball Special and the Briscoes in an 8-man elimination match. Due to the nature of the match, the time-limit for it has been extended to 60 minutes. The Cross and Three Kings come out and cut a promo. Castagnoli says he intends to end the careers of Paul London and El Generico by putting them through tables and out of wrestling for good. Austin Aries and JML almost get into a fist-fight, but Leonard and Joey Ryan keep them separated.

Main Event: The Briscoes/Fastball Special vs. The Cross/Three Kings - 8-man Elimination Match
The Kings will consist of Joey Ryan and Brian Kendrick this time around. I'm going to separate this by eliminations. Needless to say, a massive brawl starts thing off. Ares and London pair off and battle into the crowd. Castagnoli and Generico battle around the commentary desk. Jay and Ryan battle around ringside. Mark and Kendrick battle in the ring. Jay ends up taking a hard dive into the guardrail. That allows Ryan and Kendrick to double-team Mark, but Mark hits them with a great flying clothesline. Castagnoli tosses Generico head-first into the steel ring post. Castagnoli then manages to catch Mark with a vicious bicycle kick. Jay comes in and nails Castagnoli with a vicious shoulder-tackle. Ares catches Jay with a swinging fisherman suplex. London drills Ares with a step-up enzuiguri. Ryan superkicks London. Then Generico nails Ryan with a big yakuza kick. GEEZ~! With everyone out of it on the mat, it allows things to slow down and become an actual match. Generico does what he does best and gets the hell beat out of him. The heels all take turns beating him up. He finally hits a big desperation swinging DDT and makes a hot tag to Paul London who tears through everyone. It gets crazy again and London ends up nailed from behind by Castagnoli with a bicycle kick. That allows Ares to get the first elimination.

Eliminated: Paul London

Castagnoli and Ares immediately attack Generico. They try for a double back-drop, but Generico gives Castagnoli a HUGE running boot and quickly cradles Ares for three.

Eliminated: Ares

The teams of three have a stand-off and Generico stays in the ring with Kendrick. The faces get some comeuppance, solidly working Kendrick over. But Kendrick rakes the eyes of Mark and it's Mark's turn to play face-in-peril. He gets the shenanigans beat out of him pretty severely. Mark attempts a comeback at one point, catching Ryan with the Redneck Kung Fu, but Kendrick prevents a tag. The big desperation move this time around is when Mark hits a uranage suplex out of nowhere. He makes the hot tag to Jay who tears up everyone in sight. The Briscoes try to hit Ryan with the springboard Doomsday Device, but Castagnoli gives Mark a big boot on the apron. Castagnoli tags in and goes for a Ricola Bomb on Jay, but Generico makes the save. Generico goes for the brainbuster, but Castagnoli counters it into a Ricola Bomb somehow, which Generico slides out of. Generico FINALLY nails Castagnoli with the brainbuster and Jay makes the pin.

Eliminated: Claudio Castagnoli

The Kings quickly jump Jay, who makes a diving tag to Generico. Generico springboards in and nails both men with a dropkick. Mark and Jay get in the ring and start working over the Kings. With the ref distracted, Castagnoli yanks Generico to the outside and powerbombs him through a table. The Briscoes and the Kings are finally separated when the ref realizes Generico is outside. Generico, being the legal man, is then counted out.

Eliminated: El Generico

So we're effectively left with the Kings vs. the Briscoes. It quickly breaks down into one of those Briscoes-style brawls. They start hitting big moves on each other left and right. Mark busts out the Cutthroat Driver on Ryan and then gets leveled with a superkick by Kendrick. Kendrick takes a reverse STO from Jay, who is then nailed with a spear by Joey Ryan. All men are laid out and the fans are chanting "THIS IS AWESOME~!" Mark rolls over and covers Kendrick while Ryan covers Jay, but both men kick out at two. Ryan and Kendrick lift Mark up for Regicide, but Jay makes the save. Aries pops up on the apron to distract the ref, which allows them to kick Mark in the nuts and push him outside. Jay then gets drilled with Regicide and pinned.

Eliminated: Jay Briscoe

Naturally, at this point, Mark gets the holy hell beat out of him. They hit him with all the big moves (except Regicide) and he keeps kicking out. They go for Regicide, but he wiggles out of it and cradles Ryan for two. He ends up back-dropping Kendrick onto Aries and that gives him enough time to cradle Ryan for a pin and the elimination.

Eliminated: Joey Ryan

But almost immediately Kendrick flies into the ring with a beating for Mark. Mark musters a few comebacks, but Kendrick always manages to stay in control. Aries continues to distract the referee, which brings Jay back out to even the odds and root his brother on. Mark counters Sliced Bread #2 with a spinning powerslam~! Aries distracts the ref to break up the pin and Jay gets into it with Aries. Ryan attacks Jay from behind which brings JML to ringside~! They brawl on the floor and with Kendrick distracted, Mark is able to roll him up for the big, big win!

Eliminated: Brian Kendrick

Result: The Briscoes/Fastball Special win via pin w/ Mark Briscoe last eliminating Brian Kendrick
Time: 42:11
Final Entrant(s): Mark Briscoe

- Three Kings retreat to the back as the Briscoes and JML stand tall in the ring to end the show.
